Tobi (トビ, Tobi) is the newest member of Akatsuki.
Appearance
Tobi has black hair and wears an orange mask with a spiral pattern that has an opening for the right eye to see out of. He wears the Akatsuki uniform which is a black cloak with red clouds.
Personality
Tobi has a very childish and sweet personality. So much so that Zetsu frequently states that "Tobi is a Good Boy." Tobi has a particular fondness for Deidara, whom he calls "Deidara Senpai".
Abilities
Throughout the spin-off, Tobi has never been shown fighting or utilizing jutsu. From what has been shown, Tobi has skill in balance as he demonstrated by balancing himself on a ball and juggling kunai at the same time.[1]
Space–Time Ninjutsu
After giving out his information to Lee's team, he says that he is proficient in space–time ninjutsu.[2] In Naruto SD Powerful Shippūden, Tobi is capable of transporting himself by creating a swirling distortion and teleports to the location he desires.
Dōjutsu
Tobi's Sharingan.
It has be shown that Tobi possess the Sharingan, one visible through the opening of his mask. With it, he gains access to the dōjutsu's abilities such as seeing chakra, predicting movements, and placing a victim under a genjutsu.

Akatsuki's Summer Vacation!!
The Akatsuki on vacation.
The Akatsuki decides to go on a summer vacation because Pain believed it could bestow unbelievable power. Tobi and Deidara then decide to play a game of Suikawari. Tobi has Deidara blindfolded and attempts to guide him to split a watermelon open with the stick. Tobi guides Deidara to hit Pain in the butt, much to Tobi’s humor. Tobi later joins the rest of the Akatsuki in a competition to see who can keep their sparkler lit the longest. Tobi notices Deidara and Sasori’s sparklers accidentally fused and tries to fuse his with them as well. This causes all their sparklers to go out. Deidara then got into a fight with Tobi during the competition, causing the winner to be unclear. The Akatsuki decide to have a different kind of sparkler competition with their jutsu, destroying the beach in the process. Tobi and the rest of the Akatsuki noticed their skin had become darker and believed it was a sign of them becoming more powerful like Pain intended (when in actually they just got sunburned).

Episode 30
Autumn Shinobi Safety
Deidara and Tobi attempted to enter Konohagakure in disguises. However, as they neared the village, Lee, Neji, and Tenten stopped them, claiming Deidara was going ten kilometers over the speed limit. Lee asked to see Deidara’s license, which Tobi managed to distract Lee and the others by juggling kunai while balancing on a ball. Deidara was then given a sobriety test in which he failed for being “drunk on his talent”. Deidara and Tobi are then given a “break test” in which they must tell a story and stop in the middle of it. Tobi did this successfully by stopping in the middle of his story about “Tobiko”. Tired of this foolishness, Deidara pulled out a bomb but was interrupted by Shizune whom thought he and Tobi were actors for a show Tsunade was putting on about safety. As Deidara was about to blow up the crowd, Tsunade punched both of them, claiming the demonstration was to show what she would do if she saw reckless use of ninjutsu.
Deidara's Art is Always a Blast!
After the two's failed attempt to destroy Konoha, Deidara decides on a new plan by using a giant clay pumpkin that he created to blow up the village. Tobi then points out that the village will be having a Halloween Festival. He then explains to Deidara what Halloween is, since he had never heard of it before. Deidara is then convinced that his plan will work and heads off. Tobi then sees that there is no point in stopping him now and then notices that Deidara accidently drops the scroll he sealed the clay pumpkin in.

Tobi then arrives in the middle of the festival to return back Deidara’s scroll containing the clay pumpkin. Tobi then brings out the pumpkin and lights it. However, after bonding somewhat with Lee and the others, Deidara creates a giant clay owl and takes off with the pumpkin along with Tobi. They are later shown in full body casts, with Deidara believing the village played on his emotions to stop him.

The Final Battle
The Akatsuki teams up with Sasuke to destroy Konohagakure. Tobi's role in these events were not shown.
