Orochimaru (大蛇丸, Orochimaru) is the comical main antagonist of the series. He is a missing-nin from Konohagakure and the founder of Otogakure as well as one of the Legendary Sannin.

Appearance

Orochimaru still maintains his original form – having extremely pale skin with waist-length black hair. He has amber eyes with slits in his pupils and purple markings around his eyes — a reference to his snake-like nature.

Personality

Orochimaru's various human experiments took place so as to serve two purposes, most prominent of which was his desire to learn every technique in the world. He was often described as twisted by a large number of people, including Tsunade. Jiraiya speculated that this was due to the fact that both of his parents died when he was at a very young age, and flashbacks shown during his battle with the Third Hokage spoke to this effect.

Ninjutsu

Snake Techniques

Orochimaru is able to use many Snake related abilities such as Snake Fist, Hidden Shadow Snake Hands, and many more.

Summoning Technique

Orochimaru is able to summon Manda the giant snake, in order to help him if he is in a tough situation.

Trivia

  • In Episode 21, Orochimaru and Kabuto quoted Team Rocket's phrase: "We're Blasting Off Again."
  • Orochimaru is also surprisingly sensitive, as seen in episode 15, where acts out a sad story in order to make everyone cry, and fill the empty pool with it. Orochimaru ends up the only one crying.
  • In Episode 48, Orochimaru mentioned the forty-seven episodes and the series being almost over.
